This project is a collaboration between myself and two other designers. Hylo is an app that minimises the worry for a parent while caregiving for a type 1 diabetic child. Providing them with the reassurance for when they are apart that their child is managing their blood glucose levels. Sending your 5 year old child to school must be scary for any parent, but imagine sending your type 1 diabetic child to school. To facilitate this problem, Hylo offers the comfort of a dual sided app for the parent and child to use. Taking advantage of today’s technology when it comes to checking blood glucose levels, the Hylo app will feed information back to the guardian offering peace of mind.
